ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇ ਸਰਦਾਰੀ
ਅੱਜ-ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਲਵਾਈ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਲੱਡੂ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਡੱਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਕ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਰਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੜਾਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਨੀ, ਕੜਾਹੀ ’ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਕਾ-ਕਬੀਲਾ ਬੁਲਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਲੰਮੀਆਂ ਹੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਫੁਲਕਾਰੀ ਹੇਠ ਰਲ-ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਲੱਡੂ ਵੱਟਣਾ ਲੋਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਦੋਂ ਟਿੱਚਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੱਡੂ ਛੋਟੇ ਵੱਟਿਓ ਬਈ, ਐਵੇਂ ਕੰਮ ਨਿਬੇੜਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰਿਓ। ਜੇ ਸੌ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਸਾ ਸਿਰੇ ’ਤੇ ਗੰਢ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਲੱਡੂ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਧੁਰਾ ਜਾਂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੱਜ ਘੱਗਰੇ ਫੁਲਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਭ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਸ਼ੀਨੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ, ਕਿ
ਨਾਨਕੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ,
ਲੱਡੂ ਪੇੜੇ ਖਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਮੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਵਾਂਗੇ ।
ਜਾਂ
ਨਿੱਕੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਨਾਨਕੇ, ਖਾਂਦੀ ਲੱਡੂ ਪੇੜੇ।
ਸੱਸੇ ਨੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨੱਚ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ, ਵੱਜੇ ਢੋਲਕੀ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ।
ਇੰਜ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਡੂ ਵੱਟਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਦਾਦਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ;
ਮਾਮੀਏ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਦਾ ਗੇੜਾ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਮੋੜਦੇ
ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਹਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਨਹਿਲੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਹਿਲਾ;
ਲੱਡੂ ਖਾਧੇ ਵੀ ਬਥੇਰੇ,ਲੱਡੂ ਵੱਟੇ ਵੀ ਬਥੇਰੇ ਅੱਜ ਲੱਗ ਜੂ ਪਤਾ।
ਆਜਾ ਨੱਚ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਮੇਰੇ, ਅੱਜ ਲੱਗ ਜੂ ਪਤਾ।
ਜਦ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਮੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ;
ਲੱਡੂ ਪੱਕੇ, ਮੱਠੇ ਪੱਕੇ, ਵਿੱਚ ਪਕਾਏ ਪੂੜੇ।
ਬੀਬੀ ਜੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ, ਕਾਰਜ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਪੂਰੇ।
ਵਿਆਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੱਚਣ-ਟੱਪਣ ਵਾਂਗ, ਤ੍ਰਿੰਞਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੱਤਣਾ,ਕੱਤਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ, ਪੂਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਮਿਸ਼ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਣਾ, ਪੰਜਾਬਣ ਦੀ ਮਜਬੂਰੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ;
ਮੇਰੀ ਕੱਤਣੀ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਭਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਦੀ।
ਜਾਂ
ਲੱਡੂ ਲਿਆਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਭੋਰ ਕੇ ਖਾਵਾਂ, ਵੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਰੀ ਕੜੱਕ ਬੋਲਦੀ।
ਉਹਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਉਲਾਂਭਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਮੱਥੇ ਮੰਨਿਆਂ ਪਰ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਹੱਸ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤੀ;
ਤੇਰੀ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੀ, ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਬੋਲ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ।
ਇਹ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਮਜਬੂਰੀਆਂ ਜਦ ਹੋਰ ਉਲਾਂਭਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਨਮਦਾਤੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੋਲ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ;
ਲੱਡੂ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ, ਯਰਾਨੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਏ
ਕੱਚੀ ਯਾਰੀ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਦੀ।
ਜਾਂ
ਬੋਲ ਕਿਹੜਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਟ ਮਰਦਾ,
ਨੀਂ ਲੱਡੂ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਬਣੀ।
ਮਧਰੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਜੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੱਡੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਜੇ ਲੰਮ-ਸਲੰਮੇ,
ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਜਾ ਮੱਡੂ ਜਿਹਾ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਥਾਲ਼ੀ ’ਚ ਰਿੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਲੱਡੂ ਪਿਆ।
ਕੋਟ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੈ ਜਾਣ, ਉਹ ਉਮਰ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜਦਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦਲਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਧਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਕੀ ਕਰੂ;
ਲੱਡੂ ਵੰਡਦੀ ਤਹਿਸੀਲੋਂ ਆਵਾਂ
ਜੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਯਾਰ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਾਏ।
ਲੱਡੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਵੇ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਚਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਸੁੱਤੀ ਪਈ ਮਸ਼ੂਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਨ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ, ਉਹਦੇ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਲੱਡੂ ਹੀ ਚਲਾਵਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਲੱਡੂ ਵੱਜ ਕਿ ਬਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ, ਸੱਤੀਏ ਨੀਂ ਜਾਗ ਅੱਲ੍ਹੜੇ ।
ਆਓ! ਸਾਰੇ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਲੱਡੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਖੀ ਪੱਗ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਲਈ ਦੁਆ ਕਰੀਏ;

Sweet makers, florists expect brisk business
With the Assembly election results being declared tomorrow, florists and sweetmeat shops are all decked up for the celebrations. Since the demand for both sweets and flowers will see a sudden spurt, shopkeepers are fully geared up to tackle the same. Sweets, especially laddoos, will be in great demand.
A leading sweetmeat shops on the Ferozepur Road which is popular among the hi-end class is all prepared to handle the rush.
“While some party workers have already ordered ladoos in advance, others will be buying these tomorrow. We are all ready to handle the rush. Besan boondi laddoos will rule the roost tomorrow,” said a salesman at a sweetmeat shop.
Another shop at Civil Lines has also prepared sweets, especially laddoos and burfi in bulk. Tomorrow is a big day.
“We are expecting heavy rush and most of the candidates order sweets from us. While laddoos will be bought for distribution among party workers and supporters, burfi will be distributed among the family members, relatives and well-wishers. But no doubt laddoo will be the king tomorrow,” added a salesman.
Bobby, who works at one of the flower shops at Jawahar Nagar camp, said he was busy making garlands of marigold flowers since morning. “We have never witnessed such a huge rush. Our master told us that some politicians need these garlands,” he said.
Another florist on the Pakhowal Road said he had received some orders of bouquets for tomorrow. Since election results will be declared tomorrow we are expecting a sudden rush in the evening. “We are all stocked up with flowers for bouquets and garlands,” he added.
